"Blessed."
I LOVE General conference! I loved all of the talks. But, one talk that brought tears was by President Thomas S. Monson. He talked about how a culmination of events brings us to,
"here and now"
He once was jr apostle with 14 Sr. apostles and over the years he has watched each of these men pass away. A culmination of events and he is now the PROPHET!.
He talked about our lives. Second by second. minute by minute a culmination of events brings US to our "here and now". How one day toys clutter your house, laundry piles seem neverending. But, one day, believe it or not you will miss those things more than words can describe.
I might seem to be complaining when I talk about my laundry and cooking, cleaning, cooking again, cleaning, cooking again.. driving to piano, volleyball, basketball, scouts, voice lessons, Y.W.. doing homework...... but, I am thankful for President Monsons talk to remind me....
I alredy miss, preschoolers hanging out in pajamas helping me in the kitchen, coloring, watching cartoons, toys, cribs, high chairs ,small hands, FUNNY 3 yr olds......
BUT, I LOVE my 3 Young Women and 2 little scouts! (who I know all TOO SOON will be college students and missionaries!)
I am THANKFUL for MY "here and now" I am SO BLESSED! I have a wonderful husband and 5 really GREAT kids. Who ALL keep me VERY BUSY! I am so BLESSED that I CAN do all the
things they need me to do. An ordinary MIRACLE!

I will be gratful for my here and now and enjoy these FUN times with these, the most important people in my life! When I talk about my laundry and not having time to even sit down (unless I'm at piano lessons), cooking, cleaning.... I won't be complaining.

I'll just be letting you know, I am enjoying MY "here and now"! I am BLESSED that I have all these things to do and people to do them for!

Thanks for sharing that. I too was touched by his talk. IT can get so overwhelming, but I know I will miss it all when it's different.
I don't know if I told you, but I have a blog it's

P.S. I love your kids. They are all gorgeous and the pictures are so fun. They are growing up!
I love it. Thanks for the reminder :)
Your family pictures are so AWESOME! I am very jealous because I haven't seen or heard any of the Conference talks yet. I can hardly wait until Thursday when the text is online and Sunday they are showing the Sunday morning session for us at church. Love your sentiments though. I love my "here and now" as well.
What a wonderful women you are and a great example to us. I love the photos of the kids, I can't believe they are all getting so grown up. Thankyou for sharing this.
I loved your thoughts on that talk! It made me tear up a bit when he mentioned the fingerprints -- it goes too fast.
You do have 5 GREAT kids, and I love all the pictures. So fun!
I love, love, love the photos of your family! I think that it captures them so perfectly. I, too, loved conference. It was the best on Sat and Sunday. This talk was so great on so many levels. It is true, goes by so fast. It is a good thing to sit and be still with and live in that moment for awhile as life gets crazy busy and sometimes overwhelming.
...(yahoo!!! for the post!) :-)
Great post! I loved your thoughts and the reminders that it gave all of us. From now on when I say, "I can't believe I never seem to get the laundry done!" Really means, "I love these children and will miss them so much when I don't have them around to make dirty laundry!"
What a good reminder. I really have been struggling with keeping my house clean and looking at my after baby body in the mirror, but this really was a good reminder that those things will not be forever and my kids will not be in this stage forever, I can choose to obsess and focus on one thing or the other, and I don't want to miss out on my kids. Thanks again for reminding me of this amazing talk. Love ya Lindsay
So random. Sorry about the hollady 25th elders, Kris was logged on for church stuff, and I didn't realize it. So when you wonder who it was... It was me. Love you. Lindsay Rosander
Aunt Kim! It is so fun to see the pictures of you and your family and while it is weird for me to be where I am at in life I can't believe how old your kids are getting! It's fun to see you are all doing well
Wow Kim!
You've joined the world of blogging! It was fun to read your posts. It's true what Jenny said,
"The way Aunt Kim writes- I can TOTALLY hear her talking!!"
Your family photos are beautiful and fun! You inspired me to read that conference talk!
(...and I'm enjoying the music :)
